icy shoot!

Yesterday, I spent the day shooting for a new client, IceDesign of Norway. This company creates beautiful ice sculptures for big companies and museums.
Yesterday started at 8am, where we headed towards Eidsvoll to set up and photograph ice sculptures designed as the famous painting ‹‹Riksforsamlingen›› which is a painting of the Norwegian constitution being signed in 1814.

Later on we went to Lillehammer to scout at a park filled with an ice slide and other installments we were going to shoot later that night when it got dark. In the meantime we went to Hundefossen to shoot sculptures inside a ice cave. This cave is really a hotel where you can spend the night in about 2 degrees below zero. There's also a chapel there and it was said that it was almost fully booked for weddings this winter. This place was incredible! I can't wait for you to see the final photos!

I got home at 01:30am and I've never been so tired (and cold), I think.

Here's some behind the scene photos while we wait for the final result.
The photos will be published in about a week. There's a lot of photoshopping to do!

the forgotten one

This video was never published but I found it on my computer the other day and even though it's getting old, I still like it a lot.
This is a project for a client that were creating a showcase for designer Christian Aks whos clothes you might have seen at [ØPP] or in British and Norwegian fashion magazines.

As always, don't forget to watch it in HD, because SD belongs to 1999.

the shop

Today I've added a webshop to the website!
You can now buy selected prints of my photos. I'm very picky about sizes and quality so I never print anything smaller than 40x50 cm (15x19.6 in). The prints are printed by myself and signed. I never send photos to labs because I want to control all prints myself and a single slight of color change by the lab will ruin my day.

So you'll get top quality prints and you can even buy a selection of frames from the site.
Free personal delivery in Oslo, Norway!

behind the scenes: wixén @ stratos

This is an oldie but goodie. This is one of the most challenging shoots I've had. It was super windy on the rooftop of Stratos, one of the most popular high-end clubs in Oslo. But it is also one of my favorite shoots ever! So much fun with an amazing client and great models. I hired a videographer to capture the first part of the shoot which was the editorial part that we shot outside with the summer sky and Oslo in the background. Make sure you watch it in HD and check out a selection of the final photos below the video.
